He had scratches all on the inside of his mouth. On his lips, too. Someone also found a thorn in his teeth. Did he have anything like that when you saw him?
[He has perhaps not been paying as much attention to the side-systems as he could!]
Is that really true, though? There must be more evidence of what might have happened to him in reality than in the game, since we don't have access to the code.
If there's any, we haven't found anything other than he just isn't there anymore. I haven't heard anything back from a missing person's report. I don't know if anyone else has, either.
I see. I've only been dabbling with Alchemist so far.
[Matoba isn't exactly a proponent of digging into others' business, but... Perhaps, at least, some encouragement.]
I suppose if this goes on much longer, it will become impossible to ignore. A missing person will lead to questions no matter what.
[He doesn't really believe that in most cases; part of his profession includes making people disappear. But a battle of money is never a clean one. It might not be quite as easy for CC Corp to bury in a ditch as a nobody.]
That seems more like the outside incident may have led to the online one. Do we know what occurs when someone is forcibly removed from their helmet without logging out?
I see. Well, let's see how things go.
[And if it seems bad...... Matoba would like to do some poking in of his own. After all, he'd very much dislike if their emails were read by some pesky other party.]
I don't think it would be safe, seeing what's happened to other people. But I don't know for sure. No one was able to find him when calling around to local hospitals, though.

But he wasn't eating anything when we met, either. So if he ate something strange, that must have been after we met.

I'm sorry if these questions sound stupid, but you were the last person to see him.
I want to figure out what in the world happened here, because there's nothing anyone can do to find the real him out here.

He said his family would consider it convenient if he vanished. So if he was right, I don't know if they'll push for anything.
