Hello all!

I am afraid I must admit to something terrible! I may have found an incredibly deadly debuff that simply did not fall off of me when I returned to the Root Town. It would seem it affects NPCs as well as players, but the NPCs simply would not die and reset themselves!

Oopsie.

Do you think this counts as a bug or a feature? Should I report it? I took it to a few more places in town to make certain of what I was seeing, of course! Could anyone confirm this is what they were seeing, too? (:

For me, it's less about the work and more about the focus. I don't really trust the devs to be able to deliver a balanced dungeon experience if they need to throw in all these other bells and whistles that will need to be tweaked and balanced as a result.

The further we can remain from content and feature creep from the start, the better. Let them add it in 5-8 years when they get desperate for subscriptions.

Though I guess it might not be so easy to make and come back on a new account in a limited access beta test.

It does make you wonder what the decision making process was like for selecting who would receive a key, that's all.

I wonder how far this beta test will get. If many people cannot get past the beginning areas, bugs in the later sections of the game might easily go missed.

Also a very fair take to have on the matter. A good game should pick the main focus of the game and perfect it without trying to slap on all this other nonsense. Besides, if this does well, they can use the same tech to do an entire line of different games with their own points.

Kinda hard to progress when other players in the cooperative game try to take you down with them by exploiting bugs, yeah.

The incident in the other game I heard about lasted a while.

If trying to speak to the NPCs in Mac Anu ends up damaging us instead for a similar period of time, this will be quite the experience.

Oh, you may still be able to. Our dear head admin was very irate about the whole ordeal, so he could very well have reset all the NPCs by now.

Take a poke around the farther corners of Mac Anu and look for any NPCs that seem to be taking damage. That'll be it~!

You see, is that not the best way to grow the business? CC Corp ought to be paying me a consultancy fee, really.

The technology isn't the end all when it comes to an enjoyable game. They will have to deliver on the promises of the gameplay itself, and not just the VR tech.

Doesn't have to be about the painful part of it. What if they were in the middle of an important quest and they had to cancel it and start all over again because you walked by and sentenced them to death?
