I have played other games like this before, but usually play through content solo or use party finders rather than opting to join any specific static groups or guilds.

So no, I do not tend to socialize all that often.

I suppose that all of us starting on equal ground, more or less, means that it will be easier for one to get established than if they'd joined a game late in its lifespan.

I think it must be similar for at least a decent amount of people here. Forums aren't real time, and you aren't speaking face to face, so it's difficult to say that you're meeting them all at once.

Ingame is yet a different matter.
