To get to the point of this post—Does everyone remember that post that Oriae made mentioning the bonus gear some of us got?

Well, I got some bonus gear myself, and I'll confirm that it wasn't CCCorp! Or anyone in this game...or "world". In fact I was told that it was cursed before being warned to stop using it or otherwise I'd be harmed.

Sounds kind of crazy doesn't it?

Brain washing sounds a bit extreme.
It just feels wrong to think of it being that sinister. I know I might be alone in that thinking.

No, I think you have a point. I don't mean brainwashing, anyway.

If this game can make things feel and smell and taste and sound super real, then maybe doing something with our memories is just using the same equipment they already use to make us taste fake food or feel fake wind. When it was hot the other week, it felt like my whole body was reacting, like I was really struggling out in the sun.

I can't pretend to know how they do that, either.

It was the same for me as well - even after I logged off and took off the equipment for the evening. It gets hot where I live but rarely that unbearable.
Everything that has been happening is really hard to make heads or tails of.
