I hope we're doing okay today and are enjoying the new root town. Remember to be careful on the bridges!

To get to the point of this post—Does everyone remember that post that Oriae made mentioning the bonus gear some of us got?

Well, I got some bonus gear myself, and I'll confirm that it wasn't CCCorp! Or anyone in this game...or "world". In fact I was told that it was cursed before being warned to stop using it or otherwise I'd be harmed.

Sounds kind of crazy doesn't it?

though i'm thinking of switching it out with the higher level gear drops from dungeons
and i hit the cap again
so im not sure if theyll give me a new one or not
id rather not get a bonus set if its like that
but im here to play the game at its fullest so

I haven't been able to hit level cap just yet but

and zelkova confirmed that the bonus gear wasnt a part of anything they planned
along with the title too
id understand if it was some main story quest or something
but this is really weird

I'm just not sure what it all could mean.

This will even sound crazier but what if all of the NPCs that we meet are all actually AI? And that the Fragment is somehow more than what we see and what has been programed?

...but something like that sounds right out of a sci-fi movie or book or a plot from a comic.
It's all confusing and crazy sounding.

The ones that I'm talking about here seem to react in a way much different than other NPCs.

These elemental sprites that I saved after being flung into the new Root Town.
Which I thought was supposed to be a quest, but now I'm not too sure.

and zelkova is pretty much under cc corp isnt he

work with them directly or whatever
and then you have these npcs that look like theyre from a main story quest
but they start talking about something thats not supposed to exist in the game???

But it is weird right?
It's why I can't help but feel like there have to be certain NPCs that aren't the same as the others.
They also talked about how they lived here for millennia even though the game is new.
Normally I'd just think it's part of the programming but I feel like I need to start questioning everything.
