Just kidding. He just came in at rapid speed and shoves her out of the spell range to take damage in her stead. If she takes damage from the harsh shoving, Hien instantly casts a spell that recovers her to full HP.

[ Fandaniel holds still a second or two, taking in Hien coming in to shove Swallow out of the way. Shocking no one at all (except Hien, literally, since... thunder), the spell does little to no damage to someone that high level. ]

Goodness, that was rude.

[ He snaps his tome shut and puts it away, stepping over to offer Swallow a hand up should she want it. ]
