[Shortly after the strange mist has disappeared from around the guild areas in Lumina Cloth, there is a new post added to the forums.]

Fidchell is gone.

Fandaniel was lucid for only a couple moments at the end. He remembered. But I'm sorry. He's gone as well.



Everyone that was pulled in is alive. Please help them to the infirmary if you're able.

I think, in some ways, it really did.

At the very least, he was back to himself before the end. He got to talk to us. Talk about his family. Say some final words. But his body crumbled into nothing but numbers after that.

I'm sorry we don't have anything we could bring back to bury.

Fuck Cubia.

He really was convinced until the end that it was his fate to die for Cubia.

We don't have any more obstacles now. Maybe. But I still don't feel like anything over the last couple days was much of a victory.

I can't claim to know what it's like to be under Cubia or a Phase's influence. But I just hope he was at peace in the end.

It feels awful, and I would guess that's almost intentional.

Take care of your brother and Mithrun?

I can't speak for the others. But being a Phase took everything that made me "me", and if it couldn't use it, it threw it away. I only wanted one thing, and nobody could convince me that anything else was different. Kind of like I lost the ability to make any kind of choice if it didn't give me the answers I was looking for.

I think he tried to be at peace. He tried to say things he wanted us to remember. About him, and his family, and things he loved. I do think he really was himself again by the end.

Yeah. Thanks. I'm with Levi now. Mithrun wasn't with us, but I trust him to try and take care of himself. ["Try" being the word of the day here, but he knows at least that Mithrun can handle himself in a fight. At least for the moment, he has no reason to feel worried.]

That's horrible... But I'm glad you, Michel, Mithrun, and Owen made it. We really can't take something like that for granted now that it's all done.

I always wanted to know why any version of Fandaniel would be the way he is... but if some people know now, I'm content with that. My curiosity can wait for when everyone's recovered

That's good though. Levi's been through a lot... how is he?

Yeah. I don't think asking about that will go well right now with everyone. Give people some time.

[smash cut to fandaniel's post on the 24th and the audience laughing uncontrollably in the background]

The fight was rough for him. Both of us were hit with a data drain. We're headed to the infirmary now.

( He sees Barrett's comment about Fandaniel's commitment to the cause even in the moments of his death, and Mithrun supposes he expected as much. He doesn't regard the news with indifference, but, like with Hien, he isn't quite sure how to feel.

Nevertheless - checking on Barrett is much higher priority here, so he's sticking to that. )
