Yeah. I only really paid attention if I thought what I was hearing would give me the data I was looking for.

I don't think I really felt close to thinking more like "myself" until the very end. Even then, I wasn't sure. Not until I woke back up.

It's kind of a blur for me. I still felt like I was Macha, but I registered the information in a way Macha wouldn't.

I'm still uneasy about why we're still around. It feels naive to consider it an oversight... but, at the same time, it feels like we received a soft reset.

If everyone got cores from Zelkova, including people who become waves, is there a chance that helped protect you in some way?

I didn't get anything from Zelkova before my transformation completed. I think I have one now, though. It's those annoying things that stun, right?

Or a heal, or defense. You can switch the type outside of battle.

The biggest thorn in my side was all the healing you guys could do, so I'd recommend a bias toward those.

The other ones seem dependent on the Phase. I don't think Tarvos's stake could be defended against, and I could override attempts to dispel my charm, but the confusion skill was useful in our arena, where we had two Phases operating at once.

However, the only core that really messed with my data were those stun (damage?) ones and the bracelet. I really didn't like those.

[Not that he blames anyone, but he STILL feels like he got hit by a truck after 100000 def drains in a row.]

You got hit by them a lot more than me. I thought if I could take down the healers and healing cores, the rest would die quickly enough.

Does it still hurt?

( The one time Macha did get hit by a full and proper data drain it did straight up obliterate him so... glass cannon vs tank problems. )

Sort of. It just made me feel weaker most of the time, or irritated me when I couldn't attack.

I just feel tired now. My leg is making it hard to focus on anything else.

I haven't been able to make painkillers...

( Not unsurprising, considering there's no herbalist profession and they can't have nice things, but. Would Have Been Nice! )

Maybe it's just not something we'll get an answer to right now. It doesn't change that we're here, or what we need to do.

Lily was really innocent when he first talked to me. Maybe he's still learning, even with this. But... I know he's a lot smarter than I thought he was. And a lot more cruel.

He was presenting that way because he knew you'd fall for it. The fact that you still think he was innocent at any point is telling.

He isn't anymore. I won't pretend that much. But... I really don't know. The ways he acted and how he changed, it did feel like he was learning the more that we interacted with him. Even if what he turned out to be was something cruel.

And who exactly was he learning from to end up that way, if you of all people was his first contact with the playerbase?

His framework was likely already faulty. He probably weighted negative feelings as more important to train off of than anything positive.

He was a doomed project from the start.

He tricked me. I believed in him, and he used that to hurt the people I loved, and to hurt me.

I'm not letting him do that again.
