There's a digital conference on September 23rd. We'll be able to ask CC Corp questions about the game and its anomalies.

How clearly they'll answer, I don't know. But it may be worthwhile to pool together everyone's observations, speculations, and complaints here. Different people have seen different things in Fragment, and not a lot of that information is consolidated.

If you've commented on the forums with your observations before, or seen a worthwhile comment, then you can re-link it.

For example, on the topic of the level cap armor:
UTA's post (in-game NPCs' warning against using it)
Zelkova's response (indicating the armor was not an intended feature, nor are titles)
UTA's comment (in-game NPCs claiming only two individuals can "create things")

If you want to talk about something offline for whatever reason, DM me. I don't really mind sharing my number or email.

- Can't feel our real bodies anymore.

Kind of noticeable for me. Not sure if it is for others. But it definitely didn't start until the fake meeting.

Oh. Right. Sorry.

Can I ask if your accident in real life had anything to do with the weird side effects of this game?

No proof of it, but I can't help but wonder. I guess I can explain it here so people don't have to go searching.

Last Wednesday I went to a dungeon that had really aggressive enemies. Hani already confirmed that dungeon was fine when other people went to explore it later. But one of the enemies hit my leg really bad, like it was being cut in half. At the time, it definitely felt like it.

I went to a clinic outside the game the same day to get X-rays, but my leg was fine. I play football, so I have to get cleared for any games, and our physical therapist said I looked fine.

Saturday I went to a game, and my leg broke while I was walking off field. I don't remember most of it. My doctors said my femur broke in four places. Had to have two surgeries. Was in the hospital for almost a week.

Hospital had no idea how it happened. Neither did my coaches. A few people in Fragment were watching the game, if I've missed anything.

That's horrifying, but I appreciate you for explaining. It can't be a coincidence at this point.

Right, that reminds me. I ran an easier dungeon last night (stress relief, I almost forgot about reset), and you can't toggle off the pain-sensing like before. That isn't surprising, I guess.

Just checked mine. I can't turn them off anymore, either.

We're gonna have to be more careful in dungeons. Maybe going with someone else tagging along is a better idea for now.

Yeah, I wouldn't risk it. I guess time might be better spent working on professions and uh, surviving?

Maybe. But some jobs you have to go into dungeons for materials. Food and potions, at least.

I don't know if we can avoid it.

Right... I guess we have to embrace everything.

You'll hold up fine in dungeons with a friend or two, yeah? I'd think breaking your femur like that would be kind of traumatizing.

I'm Partizan. I can take some hits, so long as someone else can do the damage and keep me from dropping.

It helps that I can't feel my actual leg anymore. But you're right. I really, really, really don't want to do that again.

I don't blame you at all.

I'm a Flick Reaper, so it was kind of fun to solo with. You can stun things and knock them away if they're annoying... But it's not a tank or a healer class.

[personal profile] gluttoning 2023-09-25 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if you ever need a tank, just ask.

Can't really help on the healing part, unless we have a cleric or dancer or some other class with a healing spell.

Or just potions.

I'll take you up on that offer! It's appreciated.

If anything about the enemies is weird, we just tail it if we can. I think there are items for that?

Oh.

Yeah.

We should be able to leave a dungeon at any time, right?

Hopefully... I'm just a little doubtful if a dungeon is glitched to where it's harmful.

What's another thing to make this kind of a survival game with some horror.

Trapped in a dungeon?

Maybe that's a good reason to have full parties, then. I don't think it would end well for anybody to get trapped by yourself.

Kind of. More like when you have to run back to the entrance because you don't have an an item to warp you back there. RPGs have that.

I can respect people who can set up full parties for the efficiency, but it really did just feel easier to go in alone or with a friend.

Especially for something as dumb as "I keep getting awful hats."
