There's a digital conference on September 23rd. We'll be able to ask CC Corp questions about the game and its anomalies.

How clearly they'll answer, I don't know. But it may be worthwhile to pool together everyone's observations, speculations, and complaints here. Different people have seen different things in Fragment, and not a lot of that information is consolidated.

If you've commented on the forums with your observations before, or seen a worthwhile comment, then you can re-link it.

For example, on the topic of the level cap armor:
• UTA's post (in-game NPCs' warning against using it)
• Zelkova's response (indicating the armor was not an intended feature, nor are titles)
• UTA's comment (in-game NPCs claiming only two individuals can "create things")

Gonna dive deep into sci-fi conspiracy theory territory here but fuck it, anything goes at this point.

This game is messing with our IRL bodies, so what if it's getting into our heads too? Not even yakuza-level doxxing is gonna replicate how lifelike the mirror and wind BS was.

That's been the case for a while. People get mental effects that make them compliment people or fall in love with people at first sight.

And that's been since like, super early. First case I saw was Hector's party, and then again at the beach party.

I guess when you look at it in a different light, those "debuffs" really could have been some kind of sign, huh? But they weren't affecting people IRL at first so I didn't think much of them.

I don't think he has anything to fear from the people here. We can't really do anything to him. Like the administrators, we're in a position of disadvantage; they have more information, and ability to manipulate the game's data.

If he is troubled by backlash for whatever reason, then he's probably still speaking to individuals who weren't bothered by his prank; either what was done to me, or the effects of the glitches on other users. That, or individuals whom he can still speak cooperatively with, even if the glitches do bother them.

But that's only speculation.

( He's closing the convo here because further discussion when they both know Barrett has spoken to DV (APPARENTLY!!!!) is going to cut it real close to how suspicious it'll come off. If he wants to actually talk about DV, he'll ask in person.

However, he doesn't know if he likes Barrett defending DV. He also doesn't like that if Barrett is speaking from any position of knowledge, then leaving the matter alone for awhile might be a better idea... but the idea is very difficult for Mithrun. He is either in do nothing or do something mode, and it's hard to idle in between. )

I've started to wonder that it may not be that Fragment is complexly coded, but it's drawing on memories stored in the brain to generate the in-game world, hence its exceptional "realism."

If the game is already built on drawing data from the minds of users (including any set of users before this iteration of beta), then it would already have technology that could be used to fish for memories or private information.
